The old mill at Lonsdale is now a beautiful home. Spring time water fall Huff's Road boat launching ramp and park on Hayward Long Reach.   The red barn on the far shore was the site of one of the greatest power boat races in the world in the late 1960's between the Canadian Supertest II with a Spitfire engine, and 3 American boats with Allison engines.  The Supertest always won without ever using full throttle,  and it is on display at the Ontario Science Centre. Tyendinega (Deseronto) airport.   One of the oldest airports in the world, founded in 1916.  One of two hangers. Kaiser Lake Farms, one of the largest operations around.
 
Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, founded 1837.  This is an impressive building considering that it is in a rural area with little population adjacent to it. Former railway bed built by the Canadian Northern Railway (CNoR) in 1912 and closed in 1931.  Now a private driveway.  Looking south east.  Follow this line and you can see it curve to the left and run along the bay again.  The line ran from Toronto to Napanee along the lake shore, then north to Ottawa. The Napanee Ottawa stretch to Smith Falls is now the Cataraqui Trail. This bridge was built as the Grand Trunk Railway from Montreal to Toronto, passing through Kingston in 1856, reaching here a year later.  It was double tracked in 1890, went bankrupt in 1923  and became part of Canadian National Railway.   It is one of the heaviest traveled lines in Canada.  The Grand Trunk headquarters were in London England, it was managed from Montreal. It used Canada as a short cut from Portland  Maine to Chicago. All Saints Anglican Church, built in 1858. Tenh Sta Ne in Tyendinaga 2011-09-22 Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory Great Stone House and Garden Site of Sir John A. Macdonald parents' home, Hay Bay A Methodist Episcopal Church 1861.   Now a private residence.  Note the sattelite dish, just behind the hand operated water pump.   Such contrasts are common in this area.
