A closer view of the badly-weathered surface of a former section of Trafalgar Rd looking southeast from Lower Base Line in Sept 2013. To rectify the complete dogleg that existed at these roads prior to the mid 1960’s, as many as three different routes north of Base Line may have shared this common southern approach. Its surface has deteriorated more than the newer section across the road.

View looking northwest toward Lower Base Line (Eglinton Ave) from the west side of Trafalgar Rd. Prior to about the mid 1960’s, the southern section of Trafalgar passed through the left-centre of this location to end in a dogleg at Base Line. Stoplights at the present Trafalgar-Lower Base Line intersection are easily visible in the right background.
