Drove an hour to eat here and as we're sitting down the server says the manager just informed him it's cash only... Is that a problem? Yes it is. Plenty of other restaurants in this area.

Unfortunately, it use to be very good and tasty food but as of yesterday that my husband and went things changed. The service was very nice as always but the food was not at all. We both ordered the Monfogo with Churasco, me with regular platano mofongo and my hubby with the Yuca mofongo. First off, the look of the plate was not appetizing at all.....not like it use to be. It was not a mofongo it was just smash platanos and yuca and the meat thrown on top. The mofongo it self no flavor, now the meat was horrible. It was liked they smoked it, burned it and then try to cover it up with sauce but with way to much wine so this gave it a horrible bitter taste. The salad that goes with the plate with old, you could tell because some parts of it was brownish yellow. Sense my hubby and I loved this place before we decided to asked the server mind you very nice guy what happened. Did they changed the cook or the menu? He stated the menu. I express how we felt and that we hope they go back to the old menu and even presentation wise cause it was not a very good experience this time around. He thanked us for being so honest and said it was good to know that he would inform the honor and chef. I really do hope they go back cause I have dined there before and have referred lots of other people because of how delicious the food was and they always called back and express they had a great time and the food wad great. Joey's Shrimp House remember if it ain't broke don't fix it. Stay authentic, tasty and original please.

I love this place! Their jibarito sandwiches are so delicious. Their steak with rice and salad is to die for. I loved the sauce on the side which is used to dip the tostones! Great location. Its very cozy and welcoming! Our server Jesus was very professional and attentive!

Good shrimp, good crab cake. Good drinks great service. They had a Groupon so we went.
