THE WORST RESTAURANT EVER.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We checked reviews on Internet and it seemed good restaurant to have dinner in this important night for us. My husband let them know that was our anniversary and if they could prepare a nice table for this special day. However, the reality was much different and disappointed that we could ever have expected. We had a book at 9:00. We arrive 20 min earlier and we understood that our table was not ready. The manager was not really polite, invited us to have a drink at the bar without stools. We waited at bar standing for 30 min drinking a beer (33 cl) and cider (33 cl) that cost 9 pounds. After that, the manager gave us a table (probably the worst table in the restaurant) in the middle of everyone, which ruined our special day. Furthermore, the food was rubbish, pizza with frozen prawns and even cold, and my risotto was really overcooked that looked like more to a porridge than a risotto.

To sum up, if you are looking to a romantic dinner in a Italian restaurant (reasonable quality/price rate), definitely, DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE. The mistakes are the best teacher to learn.

l have been to this resturant on numerous occasions and food and service has been excellent, but went therelast weekend after booking a table for 8.30 we arrived on time only to be met with the most unfriendly service at the door we waited 15mins without any explanation when we would be give n a table finally a surly younger man showed us to our table be this time l was not happy
When the starters came l ordered garlic bread with tomato ,well what arrived was a large pizza base with tinned tomato purree spread over it TERRIBLE We then had to wait for the main course for rather a long time so l said enough is enough and told the the waitress we would like the bill and would pay for what we had had
The guy that had seen us to our table then came over and tried in a very bad way (treated us as though we were naughty children) to get us to stay . the answer was No and we left
This was a very upseting experience as it was both myself and my husbands birthday and so it was surposed to be a special night TOTALY RUINED
We have dined in resturants all over the world and this was one of the worst experiences

Rustic Kitchen makes you think of home prepared and cooked food, but the extensive plastic-coated menu tells you otherwise. There are some much better Italian restaurants in the B'ham area. Overall - disappointed.

Superb! Staff and food both very very good. Our go-go restaurant. Maintains 'wow" standards on your favourite dish over years & years. Only the best kitchens can do that.

Really nice restaurant. Friendly and courteous service that was very attentive. We felt welcome even though there was busy and a big birthday party at another table. The food came quickly and was really delicious and with large portions. Also some really delicious desserts. The restaurant was full, so the noise level was high. Perhaps you could do some sound-absorbing actions, but it doesn't ruin a really good experience.
