£79 for the night and the room had stains on walls and bed. Radiator didn't work. The halls smells like piss.

There for a social event incorporating afternoon tea. Generally everything was ok but the provided sandwiches were a little light in quantity and the cakes were a little excessive. The bar drinks were expensive.

Having stayed here for three weeks I feel I've got a good understanding of this hotel, the first room I was in was nice and a good size with a comfy bed, however there were several blatantly obvious places that hadn't been cleaned, one being the standing fan that was covered in layers of dust that wasn't cleaned until I took the guard off as a subtle hinta few days after arriving, and the bathroom extractor fan was also covered in dust as well as black marks in the grout in the bathroom.
The second room I stayed in had a shared door to another room which did very little to stop noise from the neighbors leading to some uncomfortable situations. Cleanliness was also an issue as dust was gathered around the bathroom fan again with hand marks on the windows, which remained for the week I was in it. The bed was also just two singles pushed together leaving an awkward dip in the middle. The third room was the same as the second but in the other side of the shared door, and had the same issues.
Rooms aside the staff are lovely, very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant offers a nice change of menu almost daily and is happy to accommodate special orders. The pool and gym facilities were also quite clean and well maintained. The free parking was great, although busy if you arrive later in the day from what I assume is the locals utilising the space.
I would stay here again and all it would take is a bit of extra attention to detail while cleaning to bring the hotel up to a great standard.

Stayed here prior to moving to WB. Well priced, friendly staff, rooms above adequate, handy for a short stay, late bar with chatty bar staff, adequate breakfast, staff happy for me to leave my car in car park whilst I walk around the local area. Many thanks.
