We had a lovely big room on first floor with massive windows. Comfy bed. Good shower and toiletries. Rather basic TV and DVD player in room. Reception staff a bit offish and nobody serving in the bar at all, we waited for 5 mins and nobody came to serve. So no drinks for us, no money for them!

Clean & pleasant room with beautiful big windows. The lobby was lovely & the original Victorian features such as the staircase & lights made it special. Unfortunately it was a little noisy at night being in a busy city centre location.

Very nice breakfast. Room was perfectly pleasent for an overnight stay with work. Really nice bar and restaurant area too. Would definitely visit again. Only issue for me is that there is no parking on site.

Took the date night package. Room was beautiful and really comfortable, and we only took the "comfortable" level room. Dinner was amazing - great service, lovely food and great atmosphere. Breakfast was disappointing, service not so great and food was so so. All in all a great stay!

Greeted with a friendly smile by the front of house staff. Check-in was speedy and polite. We stayed in the suites on the fifth floor. Beautiful room although the bathroom could do with a bit of a facelift. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning although service was a bit slow, the food couldn't be faulted. Would recommend to people visiting the city, the entrance is really nice too as they've kept the buildings original staircase. Also really loved all the artwork throughout the hotel. Night staff were also very friendly and helpful after we came in from our night out to collect our keys. Really enjoyed our stay
