Buying your first home can be a seriously daunting task, especially in Edinburgh market where things move really fast. My wife and I were lucky enough to have Julie and Maryann from Home St branch helping us throughout the entire process. From the first meeting all the way to our mortgage approval, everything was as smooth as it could possibly be. They kept us informed at every step, which was very important to me as I'm a bit of a control freak. I would definitely recommend First Mortgage to anyone who is entering the property market.

First Mortgage have been fantastic in making us feel less stressed about buying our first home. Sam at the Home Street branch provided really personalised, helpful advice and made sure we understood what was happening. He was always happy to email and phone when we had more questions and made us feel at ease. Joanne has taken the stress out of waiting to hear about our mortgage by following up and assuring us that they were on the case. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Would highly recommend first mortgage. From the start Stuart was very helpful, took time to understand our needs and suggest suitable products. Kept us informed the whole step of the way. Maryann was very pro-active giving us updates on our application every 2-3 days until our mortgage was approved. 5 star service from start to finish.

A good friend of mine recommended Ben at First Mortgage Tollcross a few years ago when I bought my first flat and now I have used Ben for remortgage and recently buying a house with my partner. Ben is extremely efficient, knowledgeable with great customer oriented manner, and a patience of saint. Joanne also gave great help to put all papers in place to make the application process as hassle-free as possible. Both my partner and myself have no reservation to recommend both of them. For sure we will be using them for all future property purchase and re-mortgages. Great, friendly team!

As a First time buyer I did not have a clue where to start when looking to buy my first home. Some of my friends recently got their first house and they recommended me to contact First Mortgage team as they provide a professional and first class service. I have phoned and arranged an appointment with Ben in one of the Edinburgh branches on Home St. He with a patience of a saint explained me everything from A to Z. Throughout the process, Ben was always contactable via email if I had any queries ( sometimes asking the same question multiple times). He searched for the best deals possible for me with regards to the mortgage, but also insurance policies that would suit me best. Let's not forget about Joanne and Maryann who were also very lovely and helpful! Lovely people, having their customers best interest at heart! Can highly recommend! and thank you again Ben& the team!
