Bar service was terrible. Bar staff were friendly but could not even use the till properly which resulted in extreme overcharges. The beer was good

Excellent hotel with brilliant staff and lovely food. Excellent bus service into Edinburgh oppersite the hotel so great location too

15 minutes from city centre by bus. Green areas surrounding, golf courses as well. 3 star hotel, Victorian style property. Only misses an elevator. Staff is very friendly and helpful, recently refurbished rooms to a good standard, some have nice views to the castle and hills close by. A nice stay overall.

Attended for a wedding. Staff were very friendly and worked with a smile on their face. Great venue for a social event. Drinks a tad pricey but overall, no major complaints.

An excellent hotel with classic but modern rooms tastefully decorated, overlooking the town and close to three golf courses. Roomy bathroom and tasteful kitchenette with bar fridge and complimentary tea and coffees even have decaf coffee sachets. The beds are comfy and a good pillow. The twin room was large enough for two with seating and a desk. A large screen TV was also a surprise. Good to see Best Western living green standards encouraging less regular towel rotation and recycling. The food produced by the chefs in the '1886' restaurant is superb with attentive and engaged waitrons on hand, this was a highlight of our stay. Well done to all at Braids Hill Hotel and keep up the good work.
