The owners and vets in this practice are really friendly and wonderful - our dogs get so excited when we take them there despite various illnesses and operations they've had because they always get lots of fuss and treats! I've already recommended them to family and friends.

Our dog Sooty had a poorly toe, which had been going on for the past 6 months, we came to Pegasus house for him to have a dental, to which Hazel the vet at Pegasus saw his poorly toe, we told her that our previous vets told us that it will heel up in 6 months. After his dental ( which Hazel did brilliantly) she advised us to get it looked at. Sooty isn't the friendliest dog when he goes to the vets, and before coming to Pegasus he would have to be muzzled and even trying to bite the vet. Our previous vet never use to look over sooty properly but Hazel was brilliant with him, we don't need to muzzle him anymore just have to get one of us to hold him tight but he loves to get a treat after! Which we think why he likes coming there. So we knew we had to get this toe looked at and decided to get Hazel to investigate, to cut a long story short, the toe had to be removed, and it turned out to be cancer!! We are so grateful to Hazel as we was previously told it will heel up in 6 months and it may have well spread else where! Luckily we got it, in time and the cancer hadn't spread. He is 11 nearly 12 years old and still loving life. We are so glad we came here, and also comes to the grooming parlour which he also enjoys and always comes back very chilled.

I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful everyone here has been with my fearful dog Dexter. A rescue dog, with serious anxiety issues, and takes him a long time to build trust. Dex has now built an amazing bond with our vet, Hazel. When we got Dex he had a needle phobia (he only had to see a syringe to go into a panic) but I have worked on this, and with Hazel doing everything she can to ensure any visits are a positive experience, injections are now no issue at all! If we walk past the surgery, Dexter will pull to try and go in, he actually really enjoys going to see everyone! A combination of understanding, and gentle handling techniques has ensured positive experiences for him, so much so that we managed to have a procedure done under general anaesthetic with no issues at all, and he was still happy to go back for his post-op check. Couldn't ask for anything more for our scared little boy!
