Dependable pub, has a variety of events through the week, and the garden is lovely. Allows dogs and has a good variety of drinks.

Always a great place to relax. Staff are always friendly and helpful and same for most customers there

First time here. Food is fantastic, however I would like to have had more gravy on my roast pork. Roast dinner is best in South Gloucestershire.

Went here just on way home with the wife and she had the steak and I had a burger, the steak was a bit chewy and when the waitress asked she promptly asked if she would like a new one cooked, my wife was fine but a few minutes later the waitress came back with a refund for the steak! Great service!

Although this is an old pub, it has been upgraded to a more modern style. So expect sports TV's and ice cold lager, rather than oak beams and cask ales. The pub is in the heart of Downend. Beer isn't cheap, but it is still popular with the local crowd.
