Having read the reviews on here I was very much looking forward to a takeaway from this curry house. Unfortunately I was very disappointed.
I ordered the following
Starters.....
Poppadoms and dips. - not great a couple of stale ones. Dips were OK.
Prawn puree - not good, unlike any other I've tried.
Onion bajees - good!
For our main.....
Chicken madras-tastless, no spice disappointing.... Ketchup is tastier.
We shared various side dishes, all were disappointing -
Brinjal bhaji - undercooked hard aubergine
Tara Dall - really really watery.
Sag paneer - ok,
Bhindi oakra - very nice! (all I ate)
Pilau rice - it smelt really strange???
All in all, cost 30quid, thrown majority in bin and we've just had beans on toast!
Should have twigged when there was not a single customer in the restaurant when waiting for my takeaway!!

Love this place and even travel across bristol. The food is freshly cooked and is perfect. Cobra is served on tap at the bar. Very relaxing place. Nice just chilling on the sofa with a cobra hoping they don't rush so I can have another. Love the sutle Indian music too.

Hailing from Tooting in South West London where there are some incredible Indian restaurants I am a bit spoilt and always dubious. India Brasserie however is absolutely top drawer! To date we have always had takeaway - our friends and family remark that every dish is the best they have had! As a veggie I would give 6 stars for the dishes - proper fresh veg - no diced frozen nonsense (the kalonji sitaphal is suberb). All the meat eaters just can't get over how well cooked everything is. Customer care is perfect every time. The restaurant is immaculate inside and we will definitely be popping in for a sit down meal.

This restaurant serves the best curry, starters and desserts that I have ever had. The food is always freshly cooked and is extremely tasty and always hot. The staff are extremely friendly and have excellent customer service skills and cannot do enough for you.
