Excellent place to stay. Nice clean rooms. Nice bathrooms with bathtubs. Good view from room. Just opposite to union square. Walking distance from bus and train station. Bus stop is just in front of the front door. Spacious rooms. Nice and quite place. Helpful stuffs. Luggage storage after checking out. Only downside is that you have to walk through the bar to get in the hotel and no lift. The room service and bathrooms need improvement.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Unfortunately we will not be returning. It's ready for a refurb, it's a bit dated and worn. No attention to detail, no rubber on the bottom of shower screen which ment when we had a shower it flooded the floor - no bath mats either. No where to hang a hand towel. Bed was comfortable and linen was clean. No lift. Staff very friendly and pleasant.

Hostel looks good, clean and comfortable. Single bed room is quite small without winds though, also you enter through the bar/restaurant which is a bit akward

I started my Scotland travel in this hostel/hotel and it was such a nice experience that I decided to finish it there as well! The dorms are clean and quiet, if you go to the restaurant you have good priced meals (vegetarian and vegan options are delicious) and you will probably meet the owner Jonathan, very helpful and welcoming like all the staff!
