First time eating this type of food and it was pretty good. We took the advice from other reviews and ordered the Fried Garlic Fish. Didn't realise they deep fry whole garlic. It's actually really good! Under all that garlic is some tasty fish too. They have cut and cooked it in small fillets so easy to eat as well. English menu with popular dishes noted which was also helpful.

Coming here every year once and it is a bit overrated. Many of their dishes are ok but I wont consider them to be very good. It is the biggest esaan restaurant in chiang rai though... for example their Kor moo yang only consists of fat instead of meat, their nam is mainly skin.

Previous reviewers said there was no English menu. They must have changed this because there is an English menu with pictures now.
SO TASTY, really great spicy authentic flavours. Great service. So glad we made the trip out of town for it.

We enjoyed the food here, especially the deep fried fish with garlic and the steamed beef with the chili dipping sauce. The menu has pictures so you can see what you want to order. We went here based on a recommendation from Mark Weins' website and it met our expectations. I downloaded his blog on the website and just pointed to the foods I wanted from the blog. No frills Thai food set outdoors - it's covered, but there are no windows or air conditioning, just fans. I don't think they get many foreigners here - also, don't expect any special treatment because you are a foreigner.
