I was at Metropol 1 which has a large screen and can seat around 500 viewers. The video quality was pretty good. But the audio could have been clearer. The cinema isn't yet equipped with Dolby Atmos and that's a shame. It's also irritating that one has to buy 3D glasses for 3 CHF even after paying a 2 CHF surcharge for 3D movies, but that's how it apparently is in Switzerland.

It’s a little expensive and the seats are quite uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it. The legroom, though, is excellent.

Used to be my favorite cinema (Metropol 1). We saw the Kingsman 2 in Metropol 2. Seats are very uncomfortable, and the place gets pretty hot towards the end of the movie. CHF 5.50 for an ice cream is a bit hefty I would say.

Metropol 1 is the best cinema for blockbusters in Zurich. Big screen, loud sound and comfortable seats - perfect for action movies.
