Accused me of causing a scratch to a car I rented. I had to drop my car off at 4:30 in the morning due to the time of my flight. Since there was nobody there to inspect the car, which is a weird practice for a rental car company, I took extensive pictures to show that the car didn't have any damage at the time I dropped it off. They didn't email me until two days later saying there was damage. I communicated my side via email, that I know I hadn't caused the damage and requested pictures of the supposed damage and told them I had pictures of my own. I heard nothing back for a month. Then they send me an email saying that they want $2,000 to fix a small scratch (still no pics of the scratch). They basically hinted that they got my complaint but had inspected the car "to international standards" whatever that means. STAY FAR AWAY. If the other ratings on here are any indication, they add to their low rental costs by scamming people with false damages. They're a bunch of unprofessional Swiss thieves!

Make sure that you check your car 101% before you take it and sign the documents, together with employee from rent a car!
I had to pay for tire that already was damaged but I didnt saw it in the dark garage!
I called them after just 10 kilometers to tell them that there is a screw in my tire. The screw was so damaged that obviously was there for more that 1.000 kilometers! The tire was not flat, and the car was good to go, but as there was no spare tire in the trunk, I was afraid to continue my trip.
I returned car imidiately and they said that everything is ok and there will be no aditional cost for me. But after few months they just took a money from my account!
This is not how the customers should be treat!

Note to Sixt rent a car: you just have payed negative marketing! I will continue with negative grades and comments on every possible online and offline way! Hope you are happy with my money.

Sixt Switzerland cannot be recommended. Doublecheck if they ask for demages or car cleaning. It happened twice to me that I got photos dated to a day where I was not renting. Also renting in Germany might be up to 5times cheaper for same car category and ensurance.
The parking house is very narrow!! They become quite unfriendly when you leave the car (at opening hours) at their entrance on a Sixt parking place.
When giving back the car I suggest to ask them to check the car immediatley so you can protest when they find old scratches or try to ask for special cleaning.
I was renting at Sixt Pfingstweidstrasse since 2007. Amazing how they changed quality and service in these 10 years - compared to the development of the rental rates. I'm wondering how they got all these 5* ratings...

Best Car rental experience I ever had!!!! I rented a Mercedes G class and the staff was very friendly, helpful and nice.
