One of my favorite museums in the whole world. Combines the beauty of the pieces with a very nice building.

A beautiful museum by Renzo Piano. The contrast between the light roof and the big rock walls is very nice and classy. If you are a student under 26 the entrance is free!

Really one of the top specialty art museums in the world. The building and grounds are as beautiful as the art they contain.

The Fondation Beyeler is definitely worth a visit. The building and grounds by themselves justify the short trip from the centre of Basel. The architecture is very interesting and complements the art very nicely.

I specifically visited for 'Kandinsky, Marc & Der Blaye Reiter' exhibition which was fantastic. Carefully chosen and presented artwork, demonstrating how the movement developed and helping the viewer understand how it contributed to future generations of artists.

I had some time left and wandered through 'Roni Horn' exhibition which was equally exciting.

All in all, a great place, bringing art to a wide audience in a fantastic environment.

The building was beautiful and the park nice. But unless you know you will enjoy the temporary exhibition I wouldn't make the effort to go here. Their own part is not very big, especially if you compare price to the other museums. The temporary exhibition was quite big and the current one wasn't interesting too me.. By all means they have some great works but the signage was also pretty poor and the leaflets weren't really that good. To my understanding they have a lot more than what they show bur guessing it's on loan. Could have had high expectations but a bit disappointed overall. It may be worth it if you do a guided tour.
