Among the best hotels in Kalmar. Lies beautifully by the water. Good breakfast buffet (which I always believe is among the most important issues except for silence while you sleep).

Great location, cozy hotel, good complimentary evening buffet. Could do with a little more facilities, first of all a better gym. But you should be here to enjoy the place and the views.

Everything was fine but not up to standards. Poor sound isolation with door closings and high heels heard above the constant background sound of water rushing through the pipes (radiators). The hotel was likely not half full but we we're assigned a room with a poor view. Only one set of towels for a reservation for two. Empty black dispenser mounts aside the sink and shower. A big chink in the enamel of a nice big tub without sound insulation very noisy to fill. The vinyl seal at the bottom of the pivoting shower glass was long past due for replacement. No spa experience here. Bathroom cubicle with high glass transoms above partition walls/closets, but with a 20cm gap to accommodate the fire sprinkler piping but also permitted zero sound isolation between the bathroom and the bedroom. A clunker TV interrupted the small room - it should been replaced with a flat screen five years ago. And my bed creaked. It is a nice hotel that has forgotten to be a good host (did I mention the carpet remnants, pails and smell of carpet adhesive beside the elevator entrance on the first floor).
