I came across this restaurant while walking through Madrid. I was looking for a place to have a nice, sit-down dinner outside and this place had plenty of tables available. I should have guessed by then that the experience would not match the price. I ordered a asparagus soup, which the waiter assured me would be hot. The soup was neither hot nor was it made of asparagus. For the main course I ordered a pork dish which was tasty but poorly presented. To round of my meal, I ordered a glass of red wine "de la casa." He offered me Celeste a good simple wine, but when I asked the server what type of red was it he couldn't tell me. It was a Tempranilo. In the end, I had a nice evening but I wish I had spent my last night in Madrid at a simple tapas bar.

Excellent service and amazing food. Best kept secret in Madrid. If you don't eat here you are missing the best of Madrid! All our meals were outstanding!

Absolutely best place I ate from my entire trip to Madrid. Far enough from touristy roads that the food is inexpensive for lunch (3 people for about 34euro) but they had an English language menu I was grateful for. Selection of food was just small enough for you me to be reassured it had to be fresh and not frozen but large enough to fit a vegetarian diet and child. Personally I had the tuna which was fantastic.
When I one day visit Madrid again this will be the first place I take my companions

Nice restaurant with character. The servers were very helpful with wine decisions. Recommend eating in the evening to catch some of the locals
