Very good location, clean and comfortable rooms though not too big.
The hotel feels new, very tidy and the service is great.
Breakfast is kind of poor, I really missed good vegetable selection, and the coffee is no more than avarage.
There's a metro station less than 5 minutes from the hotel which is very comfortable, it can get you to anywhere in the city in 10 to 30 minutes, depends where you need to go, or you can walk for about 20-25 minutes right to Gran Via and the center.
There's a nice street near by with good places for dinner or tapas (Malasana), a convinient store across the street that opens late every day, including Sunday and a nice bakery with good coffee right next to the hotel.
Taxi to the airport takes around 20 minutes in early morning and cost 30 Euros.
Overall - good and affordable stay in the city center.

Leonardo Hotel Madrid has very nice and non expensive rooms. The hotel is well located and is only 15 minutes walking distance from the city centre, large parks and sight seeing locations. Even though the hotel is located near a big street, the rooms are well isolated and quiet. The rooms are clean and have propper working airconditioning.

I regularly stay in Madrid but this was the first time at this hotel. Everything went pretty smoothly, the staff were great, the breakfast was good as was the room. The aircon wasn't too noisy which I couldn't do without at night as it was a hot time of the year.
The only slight let-down was the bathroom which needs updating. It feels and looks dated. I also think the fixed hairdryer is not in a good location in relation to the bath tub's shower head. If one of you is showering, the other one should not use the hairdryer as it would be very easy to splash onto it.
Other than this, I would happily stay here again.
