The best place for anyone with a sweet tooth. Very efficient & quick ordering process, so be prepared to order when it's your turn. There is also an upstairs area where you can enjoy your cafe and pastelitos.

Traditional Spanish bakery, with a sitting bar and a salon. Typical all-year pastries and seasonal stuff. They have coffee and drinks, cakes, violeta candies, gift boxes, macaroons, barquitos. Crowded. They do catering also. Popular with locals and tourists alike

Run down, shabby, very basic quality. I guess you could call it the quintessential Madrid experience. Go to any other European capital and you can be dazzled with crisp service and attention to every detail. Here the motto should be "We're not good but we're cheap" or "Our best is good enough".

Great prices on sweets and baked breads. Order at the bar and eat inside or on the street. Great sweet stop on your way to the palace 💜

I This place was a unique experience. We were enticed by the array of cakes and pastries on display while walking the street near Plaza mayor. Inside we were surprised to see that you could order, eat and settle the bill at the same counter. We ordered two pastries and they were delicious and creamy although the cake was a bit flaky. I would definitely recommend visitors to drop in for a quick bite.
