A very disappointing experience. Food was okay and service fine until the staff decided to clean up around us and others still in the restaurant. Staff discouraged us from ordering a taxi home and suggested we walk up the street to get one - 45 mins later we managed to find a free taxi. Given the wonderful restaurants in Barcelona, there are much better options.

Went with high hopes after reading reviews, paella was pretty bad, calamari with garlic had no garlic though it was fresh, it's tasteless, vegetarian paella is horrid. And everything is super expensive. I have no idea how this place has these high ratings here, I felt it was a ripoff.

Very underwhelming for the hype. The paella was super salty and was not worth the 22 euros they charge per head. I recommend managing expectations before deciding to go here. The view and seating arrangement however was beautiful..

Very inexperienced personnel and the paella was mediocre (the fish- rape was clearly not cooked together and the ingredients were dry, etc). Even more disappointing was the desserts. I am not sure if the owner is from the Escriba family or they just franchise it. I expected excellent patisserie but unfortunately this was not the case.
Great location though if you get the first row to the beach.
Maybe it is an August problem but if you like a good paella I would not recommend.

I'm sitting in the restaurant now and to be honest (considering my 15+ years experience as a waitress) this by far the best service and quality of food that I have received in Barcelona by far (as far as high-paced work is concerned). We sat to the right of the entrance and the two waiters that served us were absolutely fantastic. Professional, considerate, attentive, and welcoming and friendly. First time here, but definitely not the last time.
