Nice museum which explains well the early history of Barcelona. Not very interactive though and only some information is available in English. The best part is the underground where you can see ruins from Roman times.

This museum is interesting if you want to know about the early history of Barcelona. Modern history (from the 1700s) is not included, which was disappointing.

I recommend anyone to visit this museum. From prehistory to modern age, they got artefacts to show. Also it was interesting to see the evolution of a church building from a roman temple. You will need 3 hours at most. So don't miss!

This museum is the right place to get information about the history and development of the city. Many of the exhibits have English descriptions next to it and also many of the information texts. However, not all the information is also provided in English. Additionally, there are great audio guides available in many languages including English, Japanese and German for example. In my opinion, the whole exhibition is well designed and informative. Students get discounts for their tickets. I recommend to plan at least 1,5h to visit this museum.
