Slightly upscale hotel with nice lobby. Very nice location. Most rooms have a direct view on Sagrada Familia, as it is at a minute's distance. The hotel is surrounded by very good restaurants. Breakfast is superb as in most Ayre hotels. The only downside was that my room was very small. All in all I recommend the hotel if you wish to stay in that part of the town.

Overall, it's a great hotel in a good location. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable - the room I had had an amazing view of the Sagrada Familia. There's also a great roof terrace with an even better view. Only negative is that there aren't irons in the rooms and the first that was brought to my room leaked and tripped the electricity but they were quick to fix it. Room service food I had was also very average but that might just have been what I ordered.

We cannot make our trip due to the political circumstances in Barcelona and the hotel is refusing to allow us to reschedule for a time when Catalonia is not trying to secede from Spain.
Our intention was to stay at this property at a later date when we travel to Barcelona, but seeing how we are treated the first time, that won't be happening.
But the email I received asked me to cancel anyway, assuming so they can re-rent the room to someone else and get paid twice?? Not the first time I've seen this, nor will it be the last. Very sad way of doing business.
