Lovely place situated close to the canal @ Canal Walk. I ordered a normal cheese burger and sweet potato fries. There's lovely outside seating with nice views and it's quiet. The burger was very juicy and good. I'm not a fan of the massive deep fried onion rings, but the batter they used was lovely. Am keen to go there again and try other items on the menu.

Having worked in Century City for many years, the generic offerings of Canal Walk became unappetising to me a long time ago. I was excited when a colleague told me about a new place in the area but outside of the mall. I've visited Brick Lane for drinks a couple of times subsequently - it is in a scenic location on the canal surrounded by greenery. It also doesn't seem to be very well known, so is generally quiet.
I decided today to walk across for lunch. I ordered a cappucino which appeared promptly enough and was strong and smooth, and the chicken liver pasta to eat, which also didn't take too long to appear. I was impressed with the size of the portion for R85 and the zingy tomato/paprika sauce was creamy and rich. This dish might be a bit spicy for some, but there's something for everybody on the menu.
My waiter checked in on me often enough for me to not feel forgotten but not so frequently that I felt harassed, until it came to be time for me to settle up and leave (Cape Town syndrome). Being on my lunch break I was pressed for time, but he didn't appear for a solid ten minutes so I gave another waiter the writing-in-the-air gesture and everything was then swiftly wrapped up. In summary, excellent venue, great food, solid value and fairly average service.

One of the better cafes in the area with great breakfasts. Lunch and dinner menu is very carb-centric, and limited vegetarian options. Twice I've gone for dinner and they had run out of the few options I could eat on the menu. I'd recommend the place for breakfast.

Its one of our favourite after work spots in this area. Friendly service, good food and a happy hour all tick the right boxes

Great venue, the beer on tap was good. We ordered ribs and chicken strips which were done nicely but the service was a little slow. Over all pretty chilled place.
