If you enjoy their bell-boy randomly walking around and staring at you or someone taking photos of girls, knocking on doors and trying to unlock them, I wish you luck.
Some of the rooms don't have warm water, and there aren't safeboxes

I've been here three times.
There is no secret that the hotel itself and its internal decorations are old and some may even go as far as say 'communist-era', but it doesn't shy away from it, but wears it as a badge of honor. It feels like a deliberate contrast that the quality of service offered is modern-day, but the location itself is 'old-style'.
The ammeneties themselves are new, bathrooms are completely functional and sanitary. Shower caps, sewing kits, shampoo, conditioner and the usual soap are offered for all guests in their bathrooms and as a traveller myself, i can appreciate not having to haul around a bottle of shampoo or worry about any clothing malfunctions.
The TV's are indeed old tube-tv's, however cable had a lot of tv channels, including more than a few premium sports ones for those sports-minded. I've been in hotels where the flatscreen LCD's only had six or seven TV channels, the entire building running of a single free satellite antenna.
The floors are well-worn, and while they may appear 'messy', they are clean. Bedsheets and such were always in pristine condition, and there always were spare blankets for anyone that feels a bit of a chill. Which you may need, since the entire reason the hotel only has three stars per se is because of no in-room air condition or climatisation.
Parking is tough all over Brasov, but the hotel does have a gated small parking lot. It also is more than helpful towards bicyclists tying their bikes inside the compound.
As an addition, i always loved how each floor has its own small lounge, which often enough if you have friends visiting, you can host them there with no problem.
Overall, if you want a modern hotel, this is not the one for you. However, if you don't mind a bit of a different experience, all while keeping the same high standards that a hotel can give, this is a great place to spend the night.

Horrible old soviet era hotel. Avoid. Better one up the road. Brasov itself is quiet nice.

Looks like is was not renovated in 30 years. Stained beds and floors. No parking. Horrible food. Do not go here!

Nice hotel fair cost per value at the renovated rooms close to the old city center
