Can't fault it, staff fantastic, food really good, very quiet, shuttle bus to town or 10 minute walk, would come again.

I loved this place: everyone is taking care of you, the spa is perfect and every night there is a special event at the bar

Hotel renovated in 2009, so rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The balconies however are very small and it's hard to fit 2 people in there.
The hotel is located just above a trafficated road, which we didn't take notice of in the rooms, but laying at the pool it's very noisy.
Pool area in general is not anywhere as nice as in the photos. It's very cramped and you have an entire audience of café and bar guests watching you while swimming.
On the plus side, the hotel is located in walking distance to the center of Funchal.
