The faciities are 5* - bright rooms, clean bathrooms, kitchen and great roof terrace. The location is even 6*! -30sec from train station, 2min from bus station and 7min from.old town.
The lower score is due to loud location - town busy street outside the window, surprisigly loud staff (doesnt help when you arrived late, tired and all you want is bed&sleep) and breakfast - its basic ok, but absolutely no local twist.

Really lovely place, right near faro's bus and train stations. We got a double room rather than a bunk, it was clean, comfortable and cool. There was a wee balcony area and a chair and table to enjoy the summer air. Breakfast was basic but good and the communal area was adequate. Would definitely stay again

Such welcoming people in reception and sorted out me & my partner with an amazing last minute accommodation. Big thanks to Ricardo! :) Would definitely recommend Hostel 33

The hostel was clean and the staff were all lovely. You can join other hostel guests for an evening meal for only €7. The lockers are a decent size and no need for your own lock. The dorm we were in on the ground floor was next to a reasonably busy road and the fan was particularly noisy so between needing the window open for the heat and the fan noise it wasn't the best couple of nights sleep I have ever had.
