We took about 15 minutes to go through the whole place. The best parts were the first room showing the Wari culture and the room detailing the story of Garcilaso.

This museum goes through TWO stories. Saw lot of people leaving without realising that. First floor had everything from fossils to inka culture, clothing, agriculture, food, jewelery, ceremonial items. Worth seeing.
Second floor had Spanish invasion theme. The house used to belong to a man who's father was Spanish and mother inka and who was proud to be inka.

This museum presents a fantastic regional perspective from prehistoric epochs through recent history. The collection and presentation of artifacts is impressive. Presenting information in both English and Spanish was beneficial and most appreciated. I highly recommend it if you're interested in history.

Excellent, modern and open minded museum in Cusco! It has beautiful displays, helpful staff and they also let you take photos, which is a luxury in Peruvian museums.
