It's not strange at all that you find the subsidiary of Gard P. & I. (Bermuda) Ltd. located in a tiny city on the outskirts of the coast Norway. How much tax does GARD contribute to the local municipality or Norwegian state? Is it negligible? I run the local airport bus, and have been transporting GARD employees among other passengers for ten years. GARD also has it's own multivans which disregard the rules for "no entry", and displace my public buses at will on the airport terminal. The driver of GARD's minivan has threatened me at the airport after his parking illegally. "Who was I, and did I know who he was?" It's interesting to uncover how criminality starts at the bottom of the largest Companies, and goes all the way to the top.

Strange to find the world's largest marine insurer in a small town on the south coast of Norway.
