A place with nice ambience, courteous staff and walking distance to the main street

Hotel Kekoldi is a very good value hotel and close to the main square. The helpful and friendly staff and the comfortable rooms are with air conditioning make this a great choice. There is a nice freshly cooked breakfast as well as an inviting pool.

Hotel Kekoldi is simply stunning!!! I was looking forward to staying here during our 2 week visit to Nicaragua just by looking at the pictures and I was not disappointed!! The staff (though we didn't see much of them) and the receptionist were hospitable and friendly. The hotel's gate faces a busy Granada street, but the instant you step in, just about all you hear us the sound of rushing water. It's not a big place, but they have a gorgeous fountain and florals in the middle of the tiled hallway, whose walls are decorated with several paintings by a local artist- I don't know if anyone's purchased any, but they were enchanting. Plus the mosaic theme of the hotel is throughout. Then the hall opens to a garden- honestly lush and beautiful, with swinging seats and no roof , and a swimming pool. Rocking chairs and palm trees everywhere! It was especially beautiful at night. I can't describe the feeling of serenity and tranquility that was in this hotel visit for me. Oh and the breakfast- fruits, eggs, yogurt and granola, toast etc. DELISH.We only stayed one night which I found so disappointing. Quite honestly Hotel Kekoldi is one of the bjggest highlights from my trip to Nicaragua!!!

A peaceful hotel just a few blocks away from the main square. There's are several courtyards and a tiny pool in which to take a dip on a hot day (which is every day). The rooms are simple but comfortable (and have air conditioning). The staff is incredibly nice. And there's a nice hotel with a spa (i.e. Massages for $25) nearby. Highly recommended! Note: if I were a single woman traveling I would want to take a cab home if I were out late. The surrounding streets can be dark and empty at night. There are guards outside all the other nearby hotels, but still.
