One of the bad service unprofessional customers service staff, i had a car insurance and wanted to change automatic payment from my credit card to other bank debit card, when i called the staff talking unprofessional way unable to do anything then she said that "the main policy holder is your wife you are the additional policy holder so i want to talk to your wife" then i told my wife to talk suddenly customer service staff told that "call tomorrow". How to we going to solve any accident happened totally waste our money.

DO NOT DEAL WITH PROTECTA, waste of money, time, and simply will give you the run around stressful insurance company

Was in a car accident in June this year. Informed the insurance company of it the day it happened. (Cars a complete right off) car was towed to storage, and I was told a month on I had to take my belongings out of the car that day as insurance was taking possession of it that day. I find out 2 months on they only moved the car to another storage unit. So went to retrieve the rest of my belongings I couldn't get. To find my car has been damaged even more the whole front has been ripped off. The windows have been left down so the inside is a complete swamp now. All my other belongings are damaged mouldy.My plates to the car have gone missing as well.. I've been told they have tried 3 times to deny the claim. 1 as police had no correct information on the car but I have everything on paper. 2 the driving charge but had a recorded conversation saying it has nothing to do with them.
Now 3 a very minor charge that happened to the driver at the time back in 2012 that is completely irrelevant to insurance and was made aware of this. And due to this charge they won't be paying out.
I've been told I have to pay towing fees, storage fees (even though didn't agree to the change of storage and that tow) plus 9 months of insurance payments as I was paying my insurance via installments

Beware people absolutely discussed with this company!, please read carefully. Should've done my home work before hand. Now I'm stuck with a 3 year policy that I'm regretting, should've never brought it. Thinking i had peace of mind for 3 years, yeah right! What an absolute joke. My mazda BT50 broke down in Kerikeri i live in Palmerston North was up north for our wedding and my ute decided to lose power. Turned out that my diesel injectors had failed. Rang palmfield motors in Kerikeri to do diagnostic test and problem lead to faulty injectors. Rang protecta insurance saying i had faulty injectors, they said i had to send them away to Auckland for testing which will be a 5 day turn around. Explained to them that my wife is due back to work in 2 days and they only cover "up to $500" for accommodation costs, place i was staying at was $250 a night for 2 adults and 2 kids. Anyways gave the go ahead to order 4 new injectors not aftermarket but genuine mazda injectors thinking i wouldn't have problems for claiming the insurance and accommodation costs. Wrong! turns out i have too pay 1 injector per claim @ $300 a claim. So $1200 in total, as previously mentioned they wanted them sent away for testing which will be 5 days then if they are faulty they will be sent away to be reconditioned. Rang a company to give me approximate cost to reconditioned 1 injector was quoted Between $300 to $350 per injectors and new injectors cost $450. Thinking i would save time and money by giving Palmfield the go ahead to order 4 new injectors. Total cost for diagnosic test x 2 plus 4 new injectors, labour and accommodation $3200 in total and for reconditioned plus testing $2900 and wait for them to send injectors off to Auckland approximate waiting time 8 working days if im lucky. This happend 13th of April 2017! And I'm still trying to sort this out. If i could rate this company zero i would! Claiming per injector is wrong it's one motor so it should only be one claim not four. If i had known this i wouldn't have brought your 3 year policy. I see nothing in your booklet to say it's per injector, a total waste of money for $1600 for 3 years of headaches with protecta insurance. Also protecta insurance it would've costed me an extra in accommodation plus food for four people too wait around for my ute to be repaired. To be told i now have to make an owner's claim cause i was the one that gave the go ahead too install new injectors and to be told that my claim would be denied because they would have preferred it to be sent away for testing and if found to be faulty they would get it reconditioned. Protecta you don't cover loss of income nor would you give me more money for accommodation to stay and wait for repairs. I've spoken to 3 mechanics and all 3 have had bad dealings with your company. I am in disbelief with not only with this company but your customer service as well. To be told by company claims rep that there will be a high chance of my claim will be rejected is not what i want to hear. Palmfield didn't want to put my claim thru cos of your poor service and my local mechanic in Palmerston north tried to deal with you and got the same result. What does this tell you? If you tell me I'm sorry to hear blah blah blah James national claims manager! I wouldn't trust you as far as i can kick you and your company. Shame on you protecta insurance, i wouldn't recommend you at all to any of my friends and family, nothing but a headache to deal with. If your claim is bigger than your policy is worth good luck with it, chances are it will be declined. All good to take the money but when claiming it's like squeezing blood out of a rock.

Very bad company. Increase my premium without letting me know.. every1 should avoid this company. Money sucking company.
Wow I can't believe one company with so many bad feed back. They should be a shamed of them self. I guess all they do all day is the thinking excuses to each and every feed back.
