Amazing location and history, nice ambiance, good beers (the oldest, most authentic independent Rotterdam brewery) and good hearty food. The cheese fondue with some Mayflower triple on the side will have you covered for a good evening.

Great beers in one of the nicest neighborhood of Rotterdam! If you never been here, I'd suggest to take the tasting selection - small glasses to enjoy the variety of beers they brew. Be prepared to wait a bit for the food...

The beer is good, the food unfortunately never arrived. We waited for 40 min and upon asking where our dinner was were told we had been given the wrong menu. We were then promised to be served within 10 minutes upon ordering from the correct menu. Unfortunately that also did not happen. We were offered snacks from the house to bridge the waiting time but they also never arrived. After an hour of waiting our small child was not ready to sit still anymore, also by now the bar had filled up and it was noisy. We were allowed to move to the quiet room upstairs only to be told after another 10 minute wait that the manager did not allow that. When we finally gave up without ever having been served any food, they still charged us for our beers.
It seemed to be very unprofessional and uncoordinated service.
