Lekker! The food and service were excellent.
We even used the Jumbo avondje uit and they were fine with that.
Very cozy place to relax and enjoy a great meal at a decent price.
Definitely will return!

I went to Bistro de Pijpenla for dinner with my parents and my younger sister because our father was going away for business for 2 weeks.
When we came in we were received very well, and were immediately shown to our table (we had a reservation). The food arrived about 20 minutes after we had ordered which I personally find quick. I do have to note that we were there with the Albert Heijn (supermarket) deal for which there is a fixed menu. If you do not order from a fixed menu I think it may take more time.
There was not a single moment when we had to look for the waiter. As soon as our glasses were empty we were asked if we would like something else. The food itself was also very nice. I feel that the main dish I had (a Surf & Turf) could have been a bit more impressive, but perhaps that was because the starter was so nice. For the starter we had a veal pastrami and was very good.
The desert was a combination of ice cream, cake/pudding and a chocolate brownie. The dessert topped the dinner off perfectly.
If you are looking for a place to celebrate something or to take someone out for a date then I definitely recommend this restaurant! I believe I also saw some other customers celebrating an anniversary there.
The restaurant has Wi-Fi and with they serve some peppermints along with the receipt.

Tiny restaurant, with a very cozy atmosphere. Good food is served, recommended place!

Took 30mins, repeated orders twice, before 2 cups of cappuccino that taste like latte arrived. Enough said...
Nice seating by the canal though

Consistently good (for many years now). The mustard soup is brilliant, a must have. Dishes come with loads of sides - potatoes.... Very filling. Cosy restaurant, great staff. Not extremely cheap, but not extravagant either. Would recommend everytime.
