Memory store and tequila museum. Gifts are expensive, but the place has other attractions: Tasting tequilas of all kinds, for all tastes.
Tip: The tequila cake in a metal tin makes for a good souvenir.
Prices in this store are listed in USD and Mexican Pesos so it makes it easy to convert and know how much things cost. You can pay in dollars in this store but you will get a better rate if you use Pesos.
Do you like photo opportunities? Not only is the back of the store good for photos, but the front of the store has some great picture statues. The bronze statue of "EMILIANO ZAPATA" (leader in the Mexican Revolution) sitting on the bench is probably one of the most photographed places in Playa del Carmen.

My husband and I love this place. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. In fact, the gentleman hosting our tasting turned us on to our favorite tequila: Cava de Oro. This was six years back and we brought it back to the states and share it with friends and no one could believe how delicious it was and now recently this tequila has won awards in San Diego for best tequila but we got it here first!

Great for sampling...and if they would not try to really really over sell the tequila we might have bought some. Try the coffee tequila!

Cashier forgot to pack one of 3 nice matching plates we purchased and paid for, did not notice until we got back home becasue they were wrapped so nice in paper, we assumed she wrapped 2 of the plates togetehr, bummer. Otherwise the store had decent deals like every other store on 5th ave.
