A nice way to try Japanese pastries and the famous matcha tea in a old-fashioned place. Foods and drinks are delicious. Normal tea is offered and accompany all orders for free. Because the place is small, each person is required to order food and drink, which can be understood. A nice place to try.

Lovely teahouse. We've ordered shaved matcha ice and some Kyoto sweets, which were very tastefull.

The quaint, quiet, atmosphere was worth the 700yen matcha and red beans. Plus they are quick to refill your complimentary Sencha which is great.

A bit pricy, considering you can definitely pay cheaper for tea and shaved ice. But, it comes with the territory, as it's in tourist central. Nonetheless, everything tasted excellent, and the ambiance and taste had an authentic old Japanese feel. Plus, you do get unlimited lead green tea in an old teapot.

Great japanese desserts and tea. I highly recommend the shaved ice with matcha.
