If you find yourself in Arishiyama, please do yourself the favour of having a light lunch or afternoon tea at this gorgeous place. Wonderful teas, coffees, shaved ice and okinomoyaki well worth the trip! They have an English menu also, and speak both English and Japanese. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in Kyoto

Lovely place just a small street in from the main road. Great quality desserts/sweets. Great ambience as it was quiet and cooling, especially good for escaping the mid-day heat.

This place is a lovely find. A few steps away from the main street in Arashiyama it's a great place to get away from the crowds and enjoy a light meal or traditional Japanese sweet. I had the negiyaki, which was like a Japanese savoury crepe and it was delicious. It was my first time to try it and will definitely order again. I also ordered anmitsu for dessert and a coffee. The anmitsu was beautifully made and seemed a shame to eat it as it was so well presented. It also tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for an authentic Japanese experience.
