Rooms were clean, and the kitchen had everything one could need for a short stay (bring your own food+drinks, of course). Unfortunately there were only two showers, which led to some long waiting. Additionally, check-in wasn't until 4pm, and the building was inaccessible until then; this made dropping off my bags early impossible, but also 4pm is unusually late as far as check-in go.
Despite all this, it really was a nice place and my stay was smooth. It's also quite affordable!

One of the best hostels I have ever been. Superclean, tidy and cozy, tons of infos and suggestions for the surrounding area and the city. Need to use train or bus (I suggest bus as the stop is just in front of the hostel) to go to downtown but anyway Kyoto is quite big and the attractions are far from each other so any accommodation would require using train or bus to explore :) the kitchen and common area is very nice and comfortable and the area is full of restaurants and supermarkets (as in the hostel you can cook too!)

Hostel is clean and friend hosts who know english. Area has alot of food and 5 minute walk to the station.

Highly recommend to worldwide Travellers. Owners are so kind and speaks English so well, also house is clean and cozy. So many things are ready for travellers. Price is also awesomely cheap.
