Close to subways station, even easy to walk 7-8 min to Kyoto station. It's easy to reach coming to Kyoto for the first time. Building is not very representative, rooms normal for Japan. Stuff is young, very cooperative and they always try to connect guests in dinning room, so they prepare parties with free drink. Also there's local mobile phone with network included in price, so no need for additional portable wireless.

Excellent place to stay to explore Kyoto from. Saved money by being able to cook our own meals. Really great service and staff. Rooms are big big, airy and very nice! About a 15min walk to Kyoto station and a 5 minute walk to to nearest underground station. Bike rental at the hotel is ¥1000 for the whole day which is great.

The staff is really nice and helpful.
We are especially grateful to the girl that spent around half an hour explaining in detail the areas we could visit in Tokyo. She has even created a map by herself, lovely!

Two words: hipster hotel. It has an unique feel to it and on top of that, everything is clean and nice. I would recommend to people on a tight budget and want easy access to the subway line.
