Seems a little run down, but is actually great food at a great price with an even better view.

Our first morning in Negril and we had breakfast at PeWee's. Egg, bacon and cheese sandwiches and strong hot coffee. Elvis served us and even moved a table out onto the cliff patio for us. While waiting for our order, we went down the cliff steps to the water. Great views and good breakfast. 3 or 4 bucks for a breakfast sandwich and a couple dollars for a cup of great coffee. Thanks Elvis!

Pee Wee's has been serving more adventurous visitors long before Negril had electricity and was lined with hotels, bars and restaurants. This classic west end hangout still stands the test of time. As far as food goes, it's best known for it's breakfast (most notably Eggs Benedict), which is very reasonable and comes with great views of the Caribbean. The bar see's more action than the kitchen after breakfast.

Pee Wees is as much a local bar, severing and providing ocean access to local residents, as it is a tourist destination. First impressions it doesn't always make but spend some time here and get to know the names, faces and stories and you too will see why visitors have been coming back for decades.

It has a very communal anything goes vibe. A great place to escape the afternoon heat to cool off with a drink and relax with a smoke if your on the west end. During high season they often have weekly events like open mic night or fish fry's. It's one of those places where it's best just to stop in and see what's up. If you want a dinner its best to prearrange it and it will be cooked and served fresh. There are several other bars and restaurants within walking distance so you can make Pee Wees just one of a few stops if you like.

We were scammed.

The place was empty and looked pretty run down but it had a nice view so we decided to order a bit a food. The man running the place said we could get Ital (rastafarian veg) for 500jd a plate. We order just one plate against his objections because we weren't to sure about the food, and then gave him a 1000jd bill. After about 45 minutes he brought us tasteless plate of various vegetables and when we asked for the change he told us the price was 800jd. We argued. He gave us 200jd and walked away yelling.

avoid at all costs.
