Great location, close to railway station and only 3 stops from Venice. However, there was renovation work going on at the 6th floor when we arrived, very tired after an early flight. We were given a room on 5th floor and the noise was horrendous. We were moved when we complained but it begs the question why give us that room if there were others available on lower floors?
The one member of staff on reception was really miserable. He couldn't even be bothered to look up when we walked in or out but the lady who cleaned the rooms was very pleasant. The breakfast was adequate, fresh coffee & hot chocolate available and eggs, ham, cereal, toast, pastries, pancakes, fresh fruit, tinned fruits & yogurt. The breakfast room is open 7am - 11am which was nice. There's a nice bar across the road called the Celtic Bar where the drinks are very reasonably priced if you want something more lively than the hotel bar.

An old building with an authentic feel. Staff speak ok English and are very helpful. Rooms where tidy and clean.
Breakfast was typical Italian. Chocolate or cereals with chocolate bits.

The room is massive with a good sized bathroom and an added bonus of a corner-jet bath. Breakfast was sufficient. Was not made aware of building work at check-in but had seen it on the email when booking.
Would come back.
