The vehicle was great. The service is pleasant. It was the second time that more money was requested from us upon returning the vehicle. This time due to not filling it up, our whole deposit of 56€ was taken even though the fuel cost would have been a lot less. I was made to believe that we would only pay for the kilometres driven. This is not the case. They dont measure the milage driven (which would be simple to do), rather they take a number out of 8. Make sure you understand the "agreement" before taking the car as this will cost you more money later.

Assolutamente sconsigliato... attenzione all'UP-SELL, i prezzi delle promozioni online possono lievitare a dismisura. Unica cosa positiva: personale gentile anche se partigiano.

I hired different cars for 1 month, every time they have been efficient, fast and ready to ask to every question. Good selection of models that are always clean and tidy. I've always been provided with new cars with around 10k km. Friendly and kind staff, I totally recommend it.

They said the car did not have GPS so we ordered a separate GPS. This costed approximately €60 which is almost the amount we payed for the car itself. Way too expensive. When we received the car it did have a GPS built-in so we returned the separate GPS. Then we were told the built-in GPS costs as much as the separate one. Highly suspicious.
I do not know if this is Avis general policy but if a GPS costs as much as a car then this is a rip off.
After driving less than 10 km the tire pressure warning light came on. I called their service number but the first person spoke only Italian (as a lot of Italians do). They promised me to have somebody call me back who could spell English. After some 10 minutes I got a call back from somebody who spoke English.
In the end we drove on after checking tire pressure. We did check tire pressure several times and the tires were OK. So it probably was an electronics or sensor problem. When delivering the car we told the attendant this but he said that this happened very often as the sensors were very "sensitive". I had the impression that the next guy who will rent this car will also see a tire light flashing after 10 km.
