Poor service. I received a worse car than I ordered and paid for. The employees were impolite. Go somewhere else.

I have two major complaints.
First the company offices are not within the terminal, they offer a free shuttle service to go there. So far, nothing unusual. But there is absolutely no indication as to where you have to wait for this service (the good answer being right by Hertz car park in front of the terminal). Tvere is a sign completely out of sight...
Secondly, the service is poor to say the least. We had to "negotiate" for the clerk to open his reservation tool and acknowledge that we had booked both myself and my wife as drivers. It took nearly 5', 4'30" of which were wasted by him, trying to squeeze money out of us. When we are finally pointed toward the car, no baby seat. We go back, ask for the seat. The guys groans, opens his software and confirms we booked a baby seat. He gave the seat to my wife and refused to install it or even to explain us how to do it ! Unacceptable.
Other than that, it is your standard car rental company.

We did not like the attitude of the employee we talked to. He seemed borred and fed up with his job. He was not helpful in any way. Besides, no one came to give us the car and take note of the damage it had before we rented it. If we hadn't taken pictures when we picked it up, we would have paid for the damage. The guy that came to check out the car when we delivered it, asked for our photos in order to prove the car was already damaged when we took it.
Besides, their office is not at Catania Airport, but a few km away. They took us there by shuttle bus (there was one every 15 min).
On the bright side, their office was not as crowded as the ones at the airport.

We had a good experience with firefly. Helpful staff, good car (the one promised)and good functioning airconditioner and GPS. When renting with this company it's better to have the car insured directly with them (which will cover the car in full). We also didn't have to wait a lot for the shuttle from the airport to the location and back.

Generally OK. Given a bigger car than the one we ordered. Picked car up from Palermo airport and were made to sign the damage sheet before being able to inspect car, which was a bit unusual. Car we were given was full of scratches, minor dents, and wasn't clean either inside or out. Assumed the big crosses on damage identification sheet across every panel and each wheel identified the numerous bits of damage. Seems it didn't and Firefly made a fuss when dropped the car back at Catania airport. Were told we shouldn't have accepted the car in the state it was in, but were let off being charged for any damage. As we definitely hadn't added any damage, I guess Firefly shouldn't have released the car, and should not blame customers for pre-existing damage that they haven't identified or had fixed. Apart from that, was fine.
