Love it , in the quiet part of town , but only a stones throw away from the action.

Great location. Personal bathroom which is great. Doors are locked for a very long time which may cause a little frustration when you arrive. Met a lot of nice people in the public area. Would recommend.

The hostal was good, you get what you pay for, the rooms are clean. The only bad thing is that there is only one shower for 8 people, but it is clean, the breakfast is just the basic, the kitchen closes at 10. The location is great and close to the cathedral. The staff was really good, they helped us making a call even when we didnt ask for their help.

I took a very late bus into Killarney and arrived at 12am to Paddy's. I thought I had made a reservation for two nights, but unbeknownst to me the reservation had not gone through (I realized this the next day after checking my bank statement). I also did not know that the check-in desk closed at 8pm... The security guard working that night was very nice and sympathetic even though he had no way of helping me check in or even find me a bed (they were full up). He directed me to another hostel, but they were also closed. When I came back he told me that he could put me up in an extra bed in what was supposed to be a private room. When I woke up the next day and checked my reservation, I realized it had not gone through and I was 100% in the wrong. I was so embarrassed and was freaking out about what I was going to say when I went to talk to reception. The woman working at the desk was so sweet and understanding and told me it was fine. I paid for my night there and she was super friendly about it. All I can say is thank you so much to the security guard and the woman working at reception - you guys went out of your way to be nice, friendly, and accommodating despite my stupidity. I really hope my dumb mistake did not get you into any trouble.
