Amazing place that we missed on our first trip to Rhodes. The acropolis itself only has a small section and is currently shrouded in scaffolding but the other sections of the site make it an impressive find plus it's free to see.

Ok so the actual Acropolis is only 3 pillars but don't let that put you off, just down the stairs is a perfect small amphitheatre that's well worth a visit. The 'must see' feature is the Chariot Race amphitheatre! You can just imagine the ancient Greeks and Romans racing round this amazing theatre as your transported back in time. This amphitheatre does not look like it has not been restored either, the genuine article!

The acropolis is not comparable to other better known ones like Lindos', nonetheless it is fascinating in its own ways. The site is huge, and the views simply marvellous

Ancient stadium, ampitheater, and temple columns. It is beautiful by itself, but a good guide adds exhilarating knowledge to the experience. On top of Monte Smith, the views are staggeringly gorgeous, and the perpetual breeze is cool and refreshing.
