It is like a greek mom's cooking, simple and great. Fried feta with honey and sesam is really tasty, so are the vine leaves.

This place is a personal favorite, but I'll try to be objective. It's located in a quiet, secluded spot, a few walking minutes from the crowded Gazi area and Kerameikos metro station. The only thing that breaks the quiet of this mainly residential area is the occasional train (not too frequent to spoil the mood). The restaurant's run by a family, and this is the feeling you get: a homely, cozy modern feel, whether you sit inside (anytime) or outside at the small porch (summer). Service is always helpful and attentive, even when the place is crowded (typically Saturday nights and Sundays, when you should make reservations ahead). Food is based on the Greek cuisine, very well cooked and nicely presented. The menu is kept to an adequate size, and it's best enjoyed when shared between the table. The broccoli and parmesan tart is a must (and a signature dish), and the juicy beef burgers are one of the most popular dishes, and justly so. In the winter, you can have the best lachanodolmades (stuffed cabbage leaves with mince and rice) you'll find outside a Greek home kitchen, and in the summer don't miss the sliced courgette, marinated in basil sauce and served with flakes of parmesan and roasted pine nuts. Honourable mentions to the huevos rancheros (eggs with pita bread, grated cheese, green peppers and a spicy tomato sauce) and the spicy lechmajoun (a twist on a typical middle eastern plate, with Arabian pita bread, spicy beef mince and yogurt one the side). Desserts are usually seasonal, my summer favourite is the velvety cheesecake, and the all-year-standard thick chocolate mousse topped with sweet orange zest. The wine selection is not great, but you'll find some decent Greek wine labels, or you can have the better-than-expected house wine. There's always a good selection of Greek beers, some good tsipouro or raki, and sweet "psimeni" raki to accompany the desserts. Prices are really modest, around 15-20€ per person for a full dinner (not including the wine). Try it.

A destination that will never disappoint you. I visited Tirbuson 4 years ago and ever since is a place where I repeatedly go. Great food, cool atmosphere, fast service, polite personnel, low prices. Artistic joint, I ve met some interesting ppl from neighboring theaters. What more to ask. Easy parking for a crowded area. I try all newly introduced dishes without hesitation. Tirbuson is a place you will love, +5 stars

You can tell the cook here cares about making good Greek inspired food. Would definitely recommend.
Food is delicious, and reasonably priced.
