The hamlet of Agiades. Ancient Pythagoreio was supplied with water from Agiades' source via terracotta pipes. The first 800 m in underground ducts following the winding contours of the terrain to the hill in the background, where the pipes entered the Eupalinos tunnel, built in 530 B.C., 1036 m long, and 170 m below the top of the hill (where you can see the remains of the old city walls of Pythagoreio).
