The Alter Markt is also the current administration heart of the city, with the Old City Hall (or newly rebuilt Old City Hall). The building looks so pristine after it’s restoration. On top of its tower stands Atlas shouldering the world. Inside the City Hall is the Potsdam Museum which houses exhibits on the history of the city. While this may be the historical centre, the more interesting part of Potsdam is actually further up into the main town and the parks.
