Returned my car at location as my contract required, before noon. The store is only open 8-10:30am on Saturday, and no one was there to receive our vehicle. During contracting, I asked specifically if before noon would be okay, and was assured that no penalty would be given if returned before noon. After returning home from vacation, I was charged the extra day. No one on the customer service line were any help, but actually grew defensive and aggressive when I explained my future business might be worth more than one day overage. I will not use Avis/Budget in the future even if they are cheaper. You get what you pay for. Apparently with them, you are paying for a company that does not honor its contracts.
