Munich's Olympic Park - well worth a visit. 45 years old and 40 years before London - I think its fared quite well though it's showing signs of dilapidation and now Bayern Munich have abandoned the stadium for the beautiful Allianz stadium I'm not sure what 'legacy' means - currently it seems to be roof walks and zip wire. The swim hall still looks particularly impressive although is currently the subject of some heavy restoration.

I really like the external architecture of the building, and the vast airy open space inside. It's very enjoyable to swim leisurely with the sun shining through the roof, and it's different to any normal pool I've been to. I found the water temperature just right, and the air temperature bordering on slightly chilly (last time I went was a warm November day). However, I only go occasionally. It is expensive, and for the price of the 3-hour admission I would really expect the sauna to be included. As it is, it's just the large pool, the springboard pool, and a small jet/whirlpool.
