Nice view, but that's about it. Only way to city square is via cable car. Staff not the friendliest either. Hot water for shower almost non existent.

The place has very good views. And good crowd. It is on the top of the mountain hosting the Heidelberg castle. One can reach there by train. You can also reach there by trekking or by car. It has spacious parking, which is free. The hotel is quite a famous one.

Stayed for a night. The room was very nice and comfortable. We also had breakfast included and they food was pretty good.

the rooms on the terrace enjoy a terrific view
only it sounds as if your room is in the middle of a busy cafe
with the guests outside never ever shutting up for a second
